our story.
John Mixon owner and operator of Above All Custom Pools has over 48 years of experience in the swimming pool industry.
John started as an employee in 1979 doing the layout, dig, and steel portion of swimming pool projects. After learning more about swimming pool construction in 1984 he decided to open his own company specializing in forming and pouring decks, tile, and plumbing.
John maintained this company for many years doing subcontractor work for many builders in the greater Orlando area. In 2003 John's daughter took interest in the company and decided to get her swimming pool contractor’s license. From then on John and his family have built many beautiful swimming pools in Orange, Lake, Sumter, and the surrounding areas.
With his wife, and three daughters all taking a roll in the company. John and his family strive to treat their customers like family and build quality pools with quality parts. John has very high standards in his workmanship and for any person who works on his projects. John and or one of his three daughters personally oversees each step of the construction process.
